Set in the historical Fleur De Lys, we’ve given the place a contemporary yet sympathetic and cosy interior for everyone to enjoy all-day; be it for coffee, a spot of lunch, cocktails or a fun night out! We’ve also got a sunny garden with its own bar in th
Our story started in 2005, when the intention was to create a really friendly neighbourhood bar with something for everyone, serving a fantastic range of quality crafted drinks and craveable grazing food all day, everyday.
We managed to get a hefty bank loan, which we said it would be used for a nice family car, and found our first Snug in Cambridge. It was incredibly difficult and the working hours were ridiculous, but within the first year we had made it a success and started work on the second bar in Hertford. Since then our Snug family has grown and we have over 100 fantastic local team members working with us, passionate about making sure our guests have a great time. The Snug brand is forever expanding, we have recently opened our 10th bar in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic milestone for us reaching 10 bars, this is only the first milestone of many and we are hoping to expand further in the future. The question on everybody's lips is where will we be next Snug open...
To this day our values remain the same; friendly, local and fun. We really appreciate you choosing to spend your time with us and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!.

Drinks are mostly delicious but the large price is for the gimmicks really. Service very poor, more interested in their phones than serving. Also incapable of making an espresso martini.
Had a lovely time with my family, but as the “security” came to the pub they asked that I remove my hat “in case of a fight”. I kindly left and will not return. Absurd that a small central bar in St. Albans would hire people to harass peaceful and polite paying customers to change their attire.
This is what we’ve come to. I left the venue to make sure 2 friends got home safely in a taxi. When I returned I was refused entry. I explained that I had made sure 2 people safely got into a taxi. The doorstops decided to tell me that they warned me. Which they did, but I chose to do the right thing over their ultimatum. Either I leave or I can stay in. Either way my coat was left inside, when I asked the doorstop to recover my coat he could not identify. Luckily one of the guards understood the situation and informed the manager after my request to speak to her. The manager promptly retrieved my coat but the aggravation was not necessary. All in all. I wouldn’t say this was the place to be. Keep your distance.
Great night out especially with friends! Good mix of ages although most people are in their twenties. Super staff, very friendly and quick to help with any issues. A special thanks to Anna, first class service and always smiling even though it was extremely busy.
My partner and I passed this place by chance & were starving, noticed it was 100% vegan so thought we'd give it a try. We both went for the double cheeseburger meal & warm cookie dough with ice cream for dessert, both were great! Honestly one of the best burgers I've had and the chips, salad & coleslaw that came with it were so tasty! Would definitely recommend the food here to vegans & non vegans! The two young guys working there were also really lovely & friendly.
