A characterful 16th-century pub within a short walk from the city centre and Abbey, it is close to Verulamium Park and Museum. Three regular beers and three changing guests – one always from a Hertfordshire brewer.
Good quality home-cooked food is served lunchtimes Monday to Thursday: 12pm – 2.30pm, Friday and Saturday: 12pm – 3pm, Sunday 12pm – 4pm.
Evening meals are served Monday to Thursday: 6pm – 8.30pm, Friday and Saturday: 6pm – 9pm.
