Visiting the New Forest for the 1st time with family and thought we would go for a meal. There were only four people in the bar and when we asked if we could eat we were told bluntly no you didn't reserve. Okay we didn't but the attitude of the person behind the bar was rude and uncalled for. Needless to say we won't be going there again and definitely not recommending it

Absolutely lovely, kind staff, clean room and quaint cottage style inn. However, we had a terrible nights sleep as the room overlooks an extremely busy main road - we were awoken by speeding cars and lorries every few minutes. Wouldn’t advise coming here if you’re after a calm, relaxing retreat…

Wow the staff couldn't help enough. The room has lots off space left. The locals where awesome. The food was good ready to book again thank you for a great two nights

Just came home from having a weekend away there. The owners/staff are so kind you couldn't ask for better service. The food was delicious. The room is great size, we brought our 2 dogs and had loads room still. Only thing I would say is a full size mirror would be amazing but that's just me being picky otherwise really good in room, very clean. We definitely will be back. Such value for money.

Nice village pub with low beams and part thatched roof, it was surprisingly quiet, all the staff were lovely, particularly the young lady who was our dinner waitress, my wife and I both had fish and chips and agreed it was delicious and filling, we then had creme bruille and sticky toffee pudding, again, both were delicious. Breakfast in the morning was the usual full English and again nice and tasty. The stairs and landing were a little low but part of the charm, the actual room was spacious and clean, all in all a good welcoming village pub, we would be happy to stay again.
