The Shiredale is a family orientated pub, in the heart of the district suburb of Harpurhey. Close to all transport links. Serving Lagers, Bitters, Stout and Ciders on Draught with a range of bottled drinks available too. The Shiredale also has its own Food Bar located in the garden which serves homemade and take away style food to its customers, freshly prepared while you wait each time.
The pub is a friendly pub, family orientated with entertainment suitable for all ages from children to pensioners! We have a great Irish following and a lot of new customers who travel from Places such as Ardwick, Rusholme and Gorton just to drink with us! KARAOKE is a must here at The Shire! we enjoy it from Friday - Monday and during this time children can sing and join in the fun too! our licence restricts us for children so they must leave the premises by 7pm!

We booked a room at the shiredale for a wake, staff was great, buffet was brilliant and good value for money. This is a great pub with a friendly atmosphere would book the room again for future functions. Thanks to all the staff at the shiredale 😊

In a city where 'so-called' council representatives are doing their level best to CLOSE our socialising venues (like ours who, despite STILL claiming to represent us, has abandoned Harpurhey to live in the more affluent St Peter's Street in Manchester city centre) it's refreshing to have a REAL pub, like the Shiredale, to be able to be ourselves and... well... SOCIALISE in OUR way, with OUR friends and neighbours ... not forced into expensive city centre dives! The Shiredale has always been, is now, and ever SHALL be my local of choice. Love you Shiredale.
I like an early drink, then 2oclock no more, this place is ok , good staff and order breakfast out, customers ok apart from Corris lol, only 4stars because I don't drink at night.
The very first time I visited the Shiredale I was made to feel welcome, the staff were polite and bubbly, and I couldn't wait to come back again. Fun, joyful and comfortable atmosphere. Debbie & John look after everyone and make so many feel like family! Look forward to the reopening and catching up with everyone
