Friendly staff cosy village pub near Ulverston, guest ale, good food, food car park. rooms available, good place to go for a walk
Stayed here for work The rooms are spot on,nice and comfy and cosy warm Pub closes early but that's not really a problem Staff are great The food is absolutely top class, looks a bit pricey for us lads working away every week but it's not pricey, is well worth it
Went for Sunday lunch with a friend and they gave us a table as long as we vacated in time for booked customer I had cod loin and monk fish scampi -£16, tasty, well cooked, decent portion. Starters available around £7-£8. Definitely go again
Another stunning meal tonight at the ship. Shrimps to start and then the lamb shank special which was superb and very tasty. The Cajun chicken comes highly recommended as well. Great place to eat.
We booked a table here on the recommendation of our bed and breakfast just opposite. We both ordered the salmon…. It was delicious! The skin was seared until crispy which added to its deliciousness. I was happy that I was not over faced with a huge plate of food. If however, you want a huge plate of food, other meals coming out of the kitchen would satisfy. We enjoyed it so much we’re going back tomorrow. I might try the mussels…. Service was professional and friendly- it was all good!
