Popped in after a lovely walk and everybody from staff to customers made me feel so welcome lovely pub! And even had a lovely fire going on a chilly day perfect👌
Had 2 takeaways from here and both were spot on ,the food was delivered on time and was hot and fresh we really enjoyed it and shall order from here again
We visited this pub restaurant on Saturday 16th September having previously booked a table. Our starter baked cheese and drinks were served promptly by a young girl the cheese was good. The main course arrived my husband said his pie was hard and tasteless and mine was just ok without much flavour. I complained to the waiter about my husbands, who now had changed. He said he would tell the chef! That was it. Stupidly we waited ages for a dessert munu and ordered dessert. My husbands custard was lumpy and the cheese cake was so sickly I couldn't finish it. We said no more to the waiter as we could see he wasn't bothered we had a problem. What should have happened was the waiter could ask how he could put things right Here there are many options to placate a customer. For example he could have apologised offered a complementary dessert coffee etc or reduced the bill.We used to come here regularly but clearly standards have dropped. Now we will not be going back.
Ordered through justeat tonight Food was poor, special fried rice had some sort of pink sauce in it? Not what I’m used to, and the standard chicken chow mein has a strange curry like sauce in it and mixed with loads of vegetables yet again not used to that, chicken chow mein is supposed to have chicken, noodles and spring onions in it, not my cup of tea, Chinese takeaway food is far better in the east of england.
Food was really good just a shame the pub was lacking atmosphere due to only a few people in for a Wednesday. Perhaps it's busy of a weekend .
