I cannot begin to express how grateful we are to the amazing team here. They went above and beyond for us, opening up the doors for our get together on a day that they are usually closed. The care and attention to detail was outstanding. The buffet food was the best I have ever encountered in my 57 years. I have never seen so much sandwich filling of chicken and prawns. All freshly made and brought out in stages ( no cling film in sight) If you ever need a venue I cannot recommend this place enough. 08/01/2024 Thank you again x
This Pub/hotel, is the most homely , warm, welcoming comfortable place in this area. They went above and beyond for us to do a reception for a funeral. We had a beautiful log fire as we were all cold, which made you feel welcome as soon as you walked in. The staff could not be more helpful ,going in on their days off to help us. The food was fantastic and all our guests said it was the best reception they had ever been to. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, so thank you to the landlady and all the staff for all your help and assistance. We will be back, but hopefully not for another funeral.
Went to try the new menu and was not disappointed. Frequent customers but best meal we have had here! The dessert was to die for!
Had lunch with family en route to Birmingham. Great coronation chicken sandwich with perfect chips and salad. Salad was fresh simple, dressed and seasoned with no raw red onions! Chicken filling was best I’ve had in memory. Excellent service. It was quiet when we went but all the signs were good!
Quaint little gastropub on the edge of a beautiful little village. Food was outstanding. The Pan friend Halibut with lobster bisque and caviar was completely worth the price!! The spinach gnocchi was also delicious. I loved how light but filling the dish felt. We were served by a lovely young lady and felt we were extremely welcomed particularly seeing as we were not regulars and it was simply a recommendation from a local!! Will definitely hope to come back if we’re in the area again.
