Went for Sunday lunch. Book table for 2 pm Very disappointed got there pub it was full Had to wait for a table to become free Before we could be seated. Food between 3 people was a small dish mashed potatoes. Carrot. Peas. One roast potato each one Yorkshire that was rock hard. 2 slices of meat per person Jug Gravy. Will not be rushing to eat there again in a hurry.
Vert friendly and comfortable local pub. Good selection of drinks.
Went for a Sunday dinner with a friend. Did not disappoint. Reasonably priced as well . Recommended.
The Royal Oak, North Leverton is my local so my rating is based on personal knowledge. The young landlady, Emma, as given blood, sweat and tears to keep this place going during covid and speaking as a professional chef (retired) she as done a remarkable job with limited resources. I am not rating a restaurant but a friendly pub that serves good food, we should all support our locals or they will be gone for ever.
During a time when pubs are closing down every day and society is becoming more insular, here is a pub which plays an important and necessary role at the heart of its community. The landlady has fostered excellent relationships with locals, resulting in a friendly clientele who are welcoming to visitors. Staff are lovely, there is an outstanding range of gin and tonic options, and delicious home-made pizzas are available at excellent value. If you are in the area then this is a pub well worth a visit 😁
