This is our second visit to this hotel. Having been there in December on a short coach break. We were so impressed with the hotel and it's facilities. So we decided to stay there. When we went up to Oban to see my friend who resides up there. So I will definitely be back later in the year. Most certainly we will be back at the Royal hotel. The hotel was built in 1854. It's finished to the high standard so dictated by the styles of the day. It has five floors and it's set on the corner giving excellent views. I would certainly recommend it.
Hotel located in the City Centre of Oban. Rooms outdated, small touches could make a difference (mould removed from silicone or shower math). Breakfast is basic and solely focused on English breakfast option. It's not my think, but eat few crossaint with jam.
Stopped by early evening for dinner. Staff efficient and very polite, quite good selection of meals on menu, usual bar meal selections at a reasonable proce and quality. Certainly met our requirements.
Stayed here a few times for work trips. Some rooms are definitely better than others, but good nights sleep had every time. Breakfast was buffet style with more than plenty on offer. Seemed to be a lot of food for not a lot of guests. Car park to rear which isn't big and at this time was half taken over by building works. Would be nice to have refund on street parking tickets. Locals seem to use regular so got to be alright.
Stayed at the Royal Hotel for a Four Day Course the hotel is in the middle of Oban Town this is a great location my stay was five star from when I walked through the door at the reception the staff were all excellent very pleasant and accommodating the evening meals were great and the buffet breakfast was a great start to the day the room was a good size and a comfy bed for a good nights sleep I would definitely stay at this Hotel again
