The Royal George has a great reputation for stocking beers from around the world, as well as an impressive range of bottled beers.
Open until 1am on a Friday night and 1am on a Saturday night it seems to be the venue of choice for those wishing to extend their evening without having to go to a club.
There is an eclectic mix of customers from all ages and backgrounds attracted by the friendly atmosphere and the comprehensive product range.

Spent a few nights in and outside of here during TT week. Easy going a reasonable range of beers 🍻 cod do with more staff at busy times. No food but a good pizza takeaway/ restaurant over the road. 😋👍
Well presented interior with a variety of facilities - TVs, Snooker/pool and darts for example. We popped in for a light lunch which it does simply and we'll - essentially a variety of pizzas, hot dogs and snack pots - simple, but good value.
The Royal has a fantastic layout with a good-sized dance floor on a weekend or pool area on a weeknight. There are areas to sit in groups or quieter areas for a catch up. It had a refurb a few years ago so the decor is modern and pleasant. The pub has just been recently taken over by the manager of The Stanley in Ramsey. The venue has now come alive with karaoke and all time favourite pop tunes on a weekend. It's now the place to be for a drink and a dance. Just what this town needed! :D
Another generic H&B clone so can't give more than 3/5. There may be something nice and predictable about these pubs for some people, same decor, same taps, same menu, but does an island this small need so many duplicates in such close proximity? In fact we didn't even get to eat here as there was only the pizza menu which did not include a vegan option (heard of vegetables?), oh and the "chef" was sick.
Really good range of beers on tap; look behind the bar pumps to the taps on the back wall. Relaxed and friendly staff. Best in Ramsey so far 😋
