We love a visit to Eli's Inn - as unique and quirky as the characters that fequent it. Known for being the pub with no bar, it has cosy rooms with open fires and tones of atmosphere. Although they dont do food - apart from crisps and nibbles - there is often food trucks parked outside, and they offered a wide range from Fish and Chips to Mexican taco's, but check ahead. The staff at the pub are super friendly and always welcoming - families and dogs, plus muddy wellies are always welcome. The pub has an interesting selection of local beers and ciders on tap and bottles, plus wines and spirits. Over the spring and summer months there is live music, classic car evening, beer yoga, cricket matches. Plus all year you can find board game nights, crafting evenings, talks - the list goes on! I would highly Eli's to anyone looking for a unique Somerset experience, Langport is lucky to have such a place!
Wonderful local pub welcoming atmosphere and staff always have a lovely evening. People of all ages enjoy this wonderful pub. Also excellent beer.
Such a fantastic little pub. We travelled a fair distance to see a band (district7, they were great). It's quite a quirky little place with a collection of small rooms and an unusual bar, which is basically on the wall, so nobody stands behind it. The band played outside, and there was plenty of space for dancing as well as a lot of seating. Unfortunately, at the moment, their kitchen is closed, so I can't comment on their food. However, they do sell my new favourite crisps, woodland mushroom, and wild garlic by two farmers. Almost worth going just for them, I reckon we will definitely go back.
Can't rate food as didn't have any. This place is rare and amazing. A pub with no bar! Has lots of entertainment at various times and if you're out this way passing then make a stop or detour to visit. Beer is well kept and a good selection of ales & lagers including ciders.
Me and a friend were struggling to find somewhere to have a decent pint around Somerton/Langport. Each place we went seemed to be more of an eating pub, and we eventually ended up at The Rose & Crown, with its inside out bar! Couldn’t figure out what that meant until I saw it myself! Pretty unique serving experience, plenty of spaces and cosy rooms, to sit and enjoy a pint. Pool table and big outdoor area from the looks of things (although it was freezing, so we stayed firmly indoors!). Lots of interesting upcoming events too - classic cars, Irish music nights, and rockabilly etc. :)
