I love this place! We visited twice while working in the area and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful of course and this is a lovely Cotswold pub. The hospitality is excellent and it's a fresh, local, seasonal menu with lots of things you don't normally see. Highly, highly recommended!
Really cosy country pub. Rang ahead on NYE lunch asking if they were serving roasts, they weren’t but the manager said they could cook me one anyway! Arrived to a roaring fire, a friendly welcome and one of the tastiest roasts I’ve had in a long time. Can’t fault service like that. Big thank you 😊
Such an amazing experience! Matt has extensive knowledge in hospitality, and the risotto with ossobuco was to die for…. And of course the sticky toffee pudding was delicious!
Probably my favourite little Cotswolds pub. A quiet little spot in a secluded village. Haven’t eaten here before but always happy to stop by for the friendly service and a nice cold beer.
Really hospitable publican. Had a good chat, gave a fascinating oral history of the place, interior decor. Very apparent that the pub owner wants to provide an excellent venue, service, and atmosphere. Interesting selection of drinks. I haven't tried the food yet, but expect it to be equally as great. Decent sized pub garden, and most of all, it's dog friendly! Great to stop by after a walk for refreshments, or to even make it your destination itself. I really do look forward to returning with my dog, sampling the foods on offer, and having a relaxing time. Currently renovating the place, and the aim is to make it something really quite special. I look forward to this. A lot of the decor is authentic, original, and absolutely fantastic. The toilet cistern in the men's toilet is an original piece, with a fascinating pull handle. Who knew one could get so excited over a cistern, and it's pull handle?! Although brief, an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
