About us

As a Finalist in the Hoseasons 2022 Diamond Awards, Romansleigh Retreat combines the beauty of the surrounding countryside with modern, spacious and relaxed lodges and apartments. Set on a hill overlooking the Devonshire farmlands, Romansleigh is surrounded by easily-reached and well-loved destinations such as Croyde with its spectacular beaches, the delightful seaside village of Appledore with its centuries of history, the steep, cobbled streets of fascinating Clovelly, and Lynton and Lynmouth with the imposing and incredibly beautiful Valley of the Rocks.

9 lodges and 4 apartments provide spacious and comfortable places of relaxation. Many of our guests regard Romansleigh as a “home from home” where they can enjoy the lodges’ hot tubs, as well as fully-equipped kitchens and tasteful furnishings in both lodges and apartments. The clubhouse offers a choice of hundreds of DVDs for all members of the family, as well as a pool table, football table, dart board, air hockey table, books, games and puzzles.

Guests in each of the 9 lodges (of which 5 are dog-friendly) can enjoy the luxury of the hot tubs as well as the stunning views of the North Devon farmlands from the decking. Similarly, the 4 light and spacious apartments with their well-equipped kitchens and spacious living areas look out onto the beautiful surrounding green hills and woodland.

The 2-bedroom lodges - each bedroom with its own bathroom - accommodate 4 and there is one 3-bedroom lodge accommodating 6 guests. The four apartments can accommodate either 2 or 4 guests sharing. Towels and bed linen are provided.
