No change from £25 for four drinks is a bit steep, but if it keeps this classic pub in operations and with it's great atmosphere, then it's worth it

Great pub. Nice beer garden and a friendly landlady and family.
4* because we stopped for 1 drink and chose to sit outside for it. Lovely views, peaceful, staff were pleasant.
A handsome pub in a brilliant village, when we visited it was full of friendly locals and others from further afield (like us, all the way from Plymouth ;) ) The views over the river and fields were stunning, with a good choice of ciders and spirits (and beers and ales but they're not my thing). We walked there from the nearby Lower Marsh Farm, which was a fantastic route :) Child and dog friendly. On my list of pubs to return to.
