About us
Newly refurbished and under new ownership, The Rising Sun is set in the countryside. This relaxed family-run pub is only 1 and q 1/4 miles from Dartmoor National Park. As a family we have years of experience in hospitality and retail, therefore we are hugely passionate about providing high quality food, customer service and most importantly a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Another family passion of ours is animals. We are entirely dog friendly throughout the pub with water and treats available for your pups. And it doesn't end there - we also have a grass area with a post and rail, complete with haynets and water, for safely tethering your horses so you can enjoy a mid hack refreshment. For those of you who prefer car as your mode of transport we have a large free car park right outside.

Food & drink
All our dishes are home-cooked using quality, fresh, locally sourced produce. We have a large pub menu including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, making sure nobody goes hungry!
On Sundays we serve Sunday Roast from 12-4.30pm. Each week offering a different selection of meats served with roast potatoes, fresh vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and gravy.
Adults: 1 course £12.95. 2 courses £17.45 (selection of desserts).
Children: 1 course £6.25. 2 courses £8.00 (ice cream).
