Always something on especially around Halloween. Really friendly staff who can’t do enough to help, great atmosphere. Some really great bands for a minimal entrance fee to support the bands. Far cheaper than other venues in the newcastle area. Always a great night.
One of the best rock pubs. Great venue for live music. Great atmosphere and realy friendly.
Always a great night with great entertainment and very friendly staff..
Fantastic venue! Came to see a friend's band and stayed well past their set. The Go-Go Juice was a particular favourite and really enjoyed the guitar necks on the bar. As a music venue, I thought it was wonderful, plenty of space for the band on stage, the sound was good for each band and thought the space was used really well. Aside from the Go-Go Juice, there was a great selection of drinks, and the bar was managed by some of the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. A true credit to the industry. Overall, a wonderful venue and already looking forward to returning.
Went on a sat night to see a live band, I haven’t been here since I was 20 and it still felt the same! The atmosphere is electric, bar staff are just wonderful, plenty of places to sit and stand. A great night out, drinks are reasonably priced as well, very good selection of beers.

The hotel is very much of the style associated with a traditional English town centre coaching inn, yet has been sensitively and subtly refined to offer the comfort and modern standards demanded by today's visitors.
