Visited once and had a lovely experience. Spoke to the staff about making a booking for another day which seemed no issue. However, trying to book with another member of staff a few days later, they couldn't accommodate the booking. This in itself was frustrating but somewhat understandable as it was a large group. The manner in which it was dealt with issue was poor however.
Stayed here as we were in the vicinity for a family wedding. Great staff , very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were nice with comfy beds. Evening meal was delicious, haggis bon bons, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce 😊 Great Breakfast menu - I had eggs Benedict, this was served with thick cut ham and eggs cooked to perfection . Would definitely stay here again if I was up this way. Thank you
Had a great vegan meal here tonight,just basic home cooked food ,but very much appreciated,as we have really struggled to find anywhere local with decent vegan options. I had trio of sausages and mash ,with peas and proper onion gravy (gravy was delicious). My partner had the vegan option "fish and chips,served with mushy peas. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes,they arrived piping hot and well presented. The staff were friendly and welcoming,and there was a lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit,food is reasonably priced and well cooked. They even have Neck oil pale ale on tap(which is vegan too) so I was more than happy to wash down my bangers and mash with a decent pint.
Wonderful place to eat dinner! We had the sausages, chicken special, and the mixed appetizer for the mains and all were spectacular! The sticky toffee pudding was really great and the star of the show was the apple crumble with sultanas. The service was also really good as well! We had such a great meal that we are still talking about it today. If we come back into the area, we will be eating there again!
Had a fantastic 2 night stay at the location whilst in the area for a friend's wedding. Booked 2 rooms. Both were very spacious and very clean. On the first night we ate in the restaurant - the food was delicious. Breakfast each morning was quickly served and was plentiful The staff were extremely friendly Would recommend staying here
