The layout of the restaurant and the warm welcome on arrival never fades. The team are very accommodating and welcoming, in particular Aidan and Chantelle on our most recent visit. We attended the new year quiz and although it was very quiet the staff were excellent and attentive. The quiz was well thought out and fun. We attended because my son was at the quiz the previous year and highly recommended it. Now that we have been in the restaurant we will definitely try the food.
I came to stay here so I could visit my nephew for his first birthday, and traveled all the way from Manchester area. I was a bit worried about what conditions I would be arriving to, given the low price, but I was pleasantly surprised. The price certainly does not represent what you get, in the best possible way. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was lovely, and I slept like a baby! The staff were all amazing at helping us get settled in. I will definitely be returning when I’m visiting my nephew from now on
Restaurant only. We did not use the hotel facility. Firstly the staff were great. Very friendly! This review has no bearing on the servers that dealt with us. On arrival the outside lights were not on at the pathway and it was very dark. Chose to go here as we liked the carvery previously but sadly this option was removed. The free soft drink refill has also been removed and it’s almost £4 for a soft drink now. Ridiculous! Staff don’t take an order at the table - no one at the table could log into the app system we were meant to use to order the food. We used to use this restaurant regularly but I think last night will be my last visit sadly. Thank you to the staff that went out their way to chat to us and even showed the kids a new game to play at the table.
Just had the loveliest Xmas Dinner there. Service from the staff was excellent, attentive, and helpful. And the food was brilliant, big portions and fabulous food. Thank you you all the folk that gave up their Xmas day so we could enjoy ours.
