Friendly local pub which had 2 beers on handpull when I visited. Stocks the usual beers/lager. Nice selection of gin available and they also have 4 cocktails available from a mix machine. Pub snacks are available which include the usual crisps and scratchings and hot ones if you dare!. Multiple rooms to move around if you want a busy room or a quieter area. Locals are friendly and so are the bar staff. Nice they make such an effort to decorate for Christmas inside and out.
Watched a football game here, Small but welcoming and not a bad pint. Good prices.
Called in for breakfast, excellent quality food at reasonable prices I had the standard breakfast which was enormous I think the large lions breakfast would put you in A&E it's really not for the faint hearted. Pub was cosy and inviting, decked out in full Christmas decorations will definitely go back for another breakfast
Nice enough pub. However could do with a tidy up in places. Lounge area seating was a tad uncomfortable as cushioned seat pads are well worn. Good enough though for a quick thirst quencher at the end of the working day.
Last stop of my pub trek around South Derbyshire on this hot day. If you’re after a cozy quiet pub this place won’t be for you. It’s a sports bar and fairly talkative and chatty. However, friendly staff, and a decent pint of Bass. To help people out in terms of what’s on tap as of this review date: For ale, there’s Bass and Greene King Abbot Ale. On the T bar is Carling, Guinness (Cold), Thatcher’s Gold and Strongbow Dark Fruit Cider.
