We are a friendly village pub situated 3 miles outside Bedford, The Red Lion is the heart and soul of Wilstead where we aim to please our customers with well kept lager, locally brewed Charles Wells ales and award winning wines in a relaxing environment.
About us
We have a relaxing lounge bar with an open fire and we have a smart public bar with Pool table,Darts board,games machine and T.V screens showing all Sky live sports coverage.
We provide a simple, good tasting menu which includes authentic Pie, Mash and Liquor sourced from A.Cookes of Shepherds Bush in London, basket food, pizzas,pastas and children's meals also available as take away but collection only! Have a look at our menus.
When the sun is shining we have a busy garden for the family to enjoy with kids play area.
Dogs are very welcome in our garden (unfortunatley not inside the pub,Assistance dogs only.) and we are always happy to lend a hand if you are on your own with them and need to come to the bar to place your order.
Being at the heart of the community we can cater for private functions and also offer live music as much as possible, live sporting events and we love to raise money for local charities holding an annual live music charity weekend the first weekend in July.
