We came in as a 4 right at the end of service after a long walk over the mountains!the staff kept the kitchen open for us and the food was beautiful, just as good as the guinness! Will definitely visit again
Authentic traditional Welsh country pub. Very friendly and welcoming service. The food was great value for money. My grandmother made chips like this - evidently a secret but delicious Valleys recipe!
Found this lovely pub, stopped for food, served until 7.30 p.m. I had hunters chicken, chips and salad, cost about £13,hubby had steak, salad, chips cost £23, Was lovely, the only thing that let it down was not enough chips for us. Staff was lush, and the place was beautiful and cwchy pub, will deffo go again.
We were camping near by and arranged to meet family for a long overdue reunion. We were welcomed with a smile, we hadn't booked, however the staff reserved a corner table for us. The food was good old pub grub that was enjoyed by us all. So much so we arranged to come back and do it all again a week later. The curry was a huge hit and my burger was one of the best ever. We live in Scotland and are already planning to come back again to meet family here. Service was fabulous. Prices of food and drink was very reasonable. The staff and landlady were so friendly. Thank you all.
This is hands down the worst food I’ve ever had in a pub. Literally served us happy shopper food from the local shop. The chicken skewers were horrendous. You buy these exact chicken skewers 3 for £2 in the shop (picture attached) it’s so embarrassing to be served this in a pub. The chef should be ashamed of themselves. Also the nachos are pathetic, cheap, weak and tasteless chips, tinned chilli con carne and a sprinkle of fresh cucumber and pepper to jazz it up. Honestly would recommend people stayed far far away from this place.
