Very homey vibes
We came across this pub by chance. How glad we found it.Its like going back in time, people chatting and having a laugh , no music, just a good old pub , Collin and Lizzie have made the pub so welcoming. Ed and Chris.
An absolute gem of a place; character, charm, community and great beer! I feel a little sad about seeing a previous review written so negatively because the owners are very clear about not having young children in the bar, there are plenty of pubs around that cater for children so it's rather lovely to have a space for adults that isn't a dingy nightclub! :) I love that this is my local; with the chat, laughter and humour of the owners and other members of our community. Can't wait to see this place grow in to itself as their journey as landlords continues. 🤍
Very unfriendly towards families. Children have been banned from the pub for several months. Recently they have been permitted to attend provided they stay outside on a bench next to the main road as the pub have communicated that they want a quiet place for adults and don't want children ruining that vibe. I do however know that the pubs target clientele are better catered for and seem to have had a more positive experiance. The pub seems to be open on a whimsical basis and hours are given each week however not always adhered to if the pub owners change their mind and fancy a day out.
Quirky, quaint pub, friendly landlady and alcohol a good price. Traditional old pub.
