What a find! We arrived on a horrible wet afternoon to a roaring fire and a fine selection of beers and wines to work through. Our room was lovely, furnished to a very high standard and super clean. Seemingly we had a fantastic view from the room width window but the weather was spoiling that for us! Had a lovely meal and an enjoyable evening chatting in the bar with other residents and the very friendly barstaff. A great night's sleep in a very comfy bed and our first glimpse of the incredible view from our window means we will definitely be back. The breakfast was good too, our sausage dog thoroughly enjoyed her treats in the room and her sausage at breakfast.
What a place .. Mark & Sam really great couple who absolutely love this place a couple who genuinely make you feel welcome .. the staff too really friendly and go out of their way to make your stay special . We stayed in the catstye room really comfortable and spacious.. the food is really nice too.... all in all we couldn't recommend this place enough.. thank you we had an amazing stay and can't wait to see you again soon.
Great hotel, very friendly service, that bit extra in the room; bottle of beer, fresh milk, fresh coffee and flapjacks. Other handy things, boot bags available to keep muddy boots tidy and blankets if you fancied the fresh air outside. Service in the bar and restaurant was excellent, good range of decent food. Beers as you’d want from Robinson’s are excellent. Breakfast has great choice and was good quality. Finally, great to be able to leave the car after checkout- head off for a walk and return to car at the pub!

But what truly set our experience apart was the staff's wonderful treatment of our dog, Ben, an Airedale. They went above and beyond to ensure he was as comfortable and pampered as we were. Just popped in for food on our way back from a walk. We received a very warm welcome and shown to a lovely table with room for our dog too. As it was a Sunday we had the Roast which was so tasty, afterwards we had homemade sticky toffee pudding which was recommended by our lovely waitress Kerri-Anne who was so friendly and efficient. We will definitely return when we are in this area again! Such a lovely pub with brilliant staff, can’t fault it in any way. Ten out of ten! Happy New Year!
