The host is nice and helpful. They provided the best mode of transport and the rooms were clean and has all the basics.
We recently visited The Queens Head after attending an event close by in Horspath................ The parking was quite restricted on the local roads immediately around the pub due to the volume of people at the previous event. Once in the pub we managed to get a couple of seats at the bar and then later on a table if 4. The pub is very traditional inside and because if it's age the bar area is quite small, so a lots of manoeuvring with drinks in hand. The drinks service was very good (we didn't eat) and the atmosphere was great as well. We had a code couple.of hours spent inside. Large garden to the rear as well.
Friendly bar staff. Three separate bars, including dining area which is very popular. Good beer 🍺 Outside drinking area.
This is one of the nicest community pubs I've been to for a long time. We were staying at the nearby campsite, and ended up eating at the attached Thai restaurant on both Friday and Saturday nights. The food was beautiful, probably the best Thai food I've had in the UK. Service was excellent and friendly. Only shame was that the restaurant was so quiet on both nights. Locals and visitors alike, please support your pubs and restaurants, or lose decent places like this for good
Supplied food for a very special funeral. Staff great friendly . Food amazing. Good end to a day saying goodbye to a brother who was one in a Million Many thanks to the Queens Head xxx
