A great local pub with fantastic food, extensive wine list, draught ales & lagers.
The Queen Adelaide is a Grade II listed building that retains many of its original features, including a beautiful central bar which both dominates and shapes the whole interior.
Since its refurbishment in December 2008 The Adelaide has been converted into a 'gastro' pub, complete with open kitchen and dining room to the rear where an impressive feature chandelier sets the tone and is accentuated by wood panelling, a domed fire place and retro wallpaper.
This theme is continued throughout the open plan building. Floor to ceiling wooden doors can be closed to provide privacy in the dining room, although we prefer to keep them open to encourage an inclusive and informal atmosphere.
We have a gorgeous new garden terrace recently opened at the front of the pub ready for you to sit back and relax in with a beer or a jug of Pimms!.

Nice Pub, nothing fancy but decent food
Jay and the team were amazing. Thank you for looking after us, 5 stars for food and drink and of course service . We will be back ----- Dotties journey . Love the Guinness.
The Queen Adelaide is my local pub. Always great service, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and good selection of wines, spirits and ales.
They have a really interesting looking gin and tonic menu BUT apparently none of the ingredients to make them. Been here twice in a few months now and it was the case both times. Apparently they get sent the drinks menus but not the ingredients for the drinks, so this is really just a complaint about the management and not the staff in the pub. The staff is in the pub are nice and try their best to come up with drinks they can make. Edit: So I’ve now got a patronising reply to my review saying I’m “confusing” the menu. Ha. Funny. I, on two occasions, tried to order something from that menu, and was told both times that they can’t make it because they don’t have the ingredients. Sounds to me more like the misunderstanding is on your side with your team and not that I misunderstood but suit yourself.
Really lively pub! Had fun playing pool! Quite loud inside on a Friday but outside is nice and quaint. Everyone was very friendly from staff and patrons!
