Welcome to The Pyrotechnists Arms, a traditional pub serving the best in home cooked food, drinks, offering live music sports a comedy club, beer gardens
The Pyrotechnists Arms (or The Pyro as it is commonly known by the locals), is a friendly, traditional pub serving fine ales, wines and spirits and is especially known for its excellent Guinness and is situated in the heart of the recently regenerated area of Nunhead, right beside Nunhead Green,
As a sports and music venue there are regular live music and karaoke nights (see our events page for details) three large TV screens for the big sporting events including GAA, a darts board and a pool room.
The venue also boasts two large beer garden and smoking areas front and rear.
The Pyrotechnists Arms was named as it was very close to what is thought to have been the oldest British firework manufacturer, Brocks Fireworks which dates back to the early 18th century. There is even a legend that Guy Fawkes himself drank here, although this is hard to prove.

You want working class, this is it... Friendly locals, a singing landlady and live music and Karaoke weekly. Well I had a whole lotto fun 🙃 😅 🙂
Been having issues at life, gone to this pub recently, and now I frequent there often. Not for the drinks, but for the vibes. Karaoke every Friday, meet new people, see the legendary nunhead Elvis, amazing bartenders, clean place, amazing drinks selection. Definitely worth a visit or a new local pub choice. Best atmosphere ever.
Went to see a band then some karaoke being good.
Nice pub used to go here every week with my family but ashamed that one girl who works there called Victoria is absolutely vile!!!! She is racist…made racist remarks to me and my family whilst serving us and she was also seen dealing and sniffing cocaine multiple times….from the pub!!!! absolutely disgusting! Complete state of a woman …this is the reason I haven’t come back!!! They really need to look at their employees character and lifestyle before employing them!!! Such a shame I used to love here. Victoria Nash is her name!!! She is giving the pub a bad name !!!!
Great local, doesn't get more south london that this, good choice to watch a game as they have a massive screen, staff is always nice, patrons all seem to know each other, basic choice of beers but at a reasonably good price. Great beer garden at the front looking over nunhead green.
