Nice ambience and cozy pub, we could bring our dog which was great. Very affordable pub food and lovely position for families with kids and dogs. There is a payable parking available outside the pub, a little lake, a playground and mini golf just outside.
We sat down as a table of 3, one plate arrived 15 minutes before the other 2 which was a shame as we like to eat together. This meant I had a luke warm meal. A bacon cheeseburger was ordered by a friend, the audacity to even have the word bacon in the name is mind boggling. Attached is a photo of said “bacon”, which made up approximately 1% of the burger, “essence of bacon” would be more fitting. Staff were friendly and welcoming and were obviously busy. However, it doesn’t excuse the quality of food and wait time. Chairs and tables very run down.
Came here today for our staff Christmas meal and the food and staff were great! We booked quite late but they couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Food was tasty, came quickly and a great price! Thanks so much and a big merry Christmas to all the staff!
Always our favourite place to go. The food is amazing for the value, always friendly service. We love the whole team and are always welcomed into a warm atmosphere. This place needs a major makeover..food menu limited..food mediocre at best and overpriced..£2.50 for a side of scampi (4 small pieces ) to go with a steak @ £13.50 ..gammon @ £9.99 is hiding under the fried egg showing how small it is ... £7.89 for a glass of wine ...the meal came to just over £40..the place is generally dirty cobwebs in the windows and yet there were people looking for tables I understand that this was a Bank Holiday and more people than normal were about, so if this place was cleaned up a bit more people would come here..I came here after reading the reviews to see if was serving decent food and found a run down "cafe" selling mediocre food at an inflated price
