
An attractive Victorian pub close to Covent Garden in the centre of London’s theatre land, the perfect place for some delicious traditional pub food and drink.
On the corner of Great Queen Street and Drury Lane sits this handsome Victorian pub. It was first established in 1850 and then rebuilt in early 20th Century, when the street was widened. Around this time the area was becoming more popular due to the theatres and the grand Royal Opera House, which is just a short walk from the Prince of Wales, down Drury Lane.
Today Covent Garden is famous for being the entertainment hub of London. It has almost 40 theatres across the West End and holds a multitude of attractions for tourists, including market stalls, street entertainers and open air cafes.
