This is the most beautiful hotel set in amazing grounds. I had such a lovely stay here with friends. The bar is well stocked and staff great. The food was fabulous with a really good choice. The room was warm and clean. Its a really relaxed atmosphere, lots of people staying with their dogs and almost a home from home vibe. Thoroughly recommend.
I had my wedding at New Place recently....what can I say....a beautiful and an amazing venue. Nothing was too much for the staff. Food was amazing and the service was perfect. Staff are friendly and welcoming. All our guests were looked after and commented on how amazing everything waa on the day. Thank you to everyone at New Place you are a credit to your establishment. Thoroughly recommend New Place.
We came for a birthday meal with family, now, I don't mind paying extra for good food, and the food we were served was very tasty, but the amount of things not available was frankly embarrassing, no bone marrow for my steak, instead I was given one fried mushroom? Similar not! And training needs to be given to whoever made the banana split and maybe some overall knowledge of what's on the menu vs what arrives at the table. The staff were admirable and the setting beautiful. 8/10 in all.

Really lovely grounds and beautiful historic building. The surrounding area was very nice for walking and nature. The staff members were all very helpful, pleasant and friendly. We appreciated the warm welcome they gave our little dog, complete with dog treats and a water bowl! The restaurant and bar were very nice, with delicious food and drinks.
