A pretty good option if you are looking for a bit premium pub in the Paddington area. As the place was recently renovated, the good ventilation during winters keep this place cool yet toasty. There is ample seating as well at this place. We also had the truffle parmesan fries with the drinks and it was good. Overall this place is a definite recommendation.
We had the most amazing meal on Christmas Eve with friends who are regulars so decided to return. Sadly fell short of the prior experience in terms of quality in the food (pretty sure not same chef), especially with an extremely undercooked Yorkshire pudding that was then explained to us that this is how they make it which means they make as no one else does … simply very undercooked! Presentation of my fish and chips was basic and good quality not great. Staff is great. Lights were a bit bright taking away from what is a very nice pub. We will give it another “tie-breaker” try.
What an unbelievable experience Tom gave us! First of all, he seamlessly ran the entire restaurant single-handedly. He was charming, funny, and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious, the fish and chips was crispy and flavorful. My daughters cheeseburger was quite delightful as well. Give the blood orange cider a try, sweet and bubbly. Highly recommend this place to anybody and everybody!
Sensational or should I say splendid!! From the quality of friendly service of Tom & Chrissy it was a perfect Sunday roast for a family of four Aussies abroad! The meals incredibly fulfilling and super tasty! Highly recommend The Porchester and it’s Sunday roast!!
The best pub we visited on our entire trip to the UK! It’s beautiful, comfortable and service was absolutely outstanding. Coffee was great and pints were good. The best thing was the people working there as well as the atmosphere and decor of the pub. Would love to live in the area just so we can come here regularly!
