The Point Brewers Fayre pub restaurant in Inverclyde

Our team

Set right on the River Clyde, our Greenock Brewers Fayre is ideal when you’re looking for great places to eat in Renfrewshire. The Point is one of the oldest restaurants in the Whitbread family, and since becoming a Brewers Fayre seven years ago, we’ve loved serving up amazing meals and memories to locals and visitors alike. Our amazing team has been together for a long time now – some for over 15 years! – so whether it’s menu recommendations or top tips on Inverclyde attractions, you’ll be in great hands. As well as supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital and raising over £5000 in the last three years, we’re passionate about doing our bit for the community too, which is why we also donate to local fundraisers, food banks and good causes.

Hadn't been here for a few years and it's showing it's age. Food was nice but the place could certainly do with a wee spruce up.

Been going there since 2006 and it's not changed much.. It's cheap and cheerful, the service is good, the food is meh. It's clean and comfortable and with the correct expectations it's fine. Go expecting 5 star dining and you'll be disappointed, expect cheap pub food, quickly delivered and you'll be happy. If you are staying next door, again the breakfast is fine, cooked or continental - great value with the correct expectations. My only complaint is that it pretty much closes at 21.00 - if you are staying in the adjacent hotel you can take drinks over but don't expect a late night out. The lady with the pink hair and tattoos was top but I wouldn't like to argue with her. :-)

Food was great, although at my table there was a hair in someone's dinner but the lady replaced the meal, I suppose this can happen anywhere everything else was 10/10

Lovely, quiet place next to the water, nicely decorated. The food however was terrible. I had a "winner winner chicken dinner" and I lost. The chicken was like salty plastic, in fact, the only palatable thing was my glass of coke. I should have gone to KFC.. sorry, but I will not return. 🤷

Come here sometimes with family we enjoy it. Price's not bad food pretty good, too. My daughter loves the soft play. We always comment on how awful the bathrooms are designed, though.
