The restaurant and patio are spick and span, the team are ready, and our chefs have been working hard to bring back your favourites and of course we’ve worked really hard to make sure The plough is safe and welcoming.

You can also view our menu and order via a weblink here. We recommend that all our guests’ book ahead to guarantee a spot, as by necessity we will have less tables than before, and of course we will only be offering table service. You can book a table online here. Please note we cannot guarantee specific table requests.

The Plough is a beautiful, traditional country inn with rooms, serving great quality, home-cooked food and offering a wide selection of ales, wines and spirits, including 40 gins and 25 whiskies.

Our menu offers something to suit every taste and occasion; it includes all of your favourite pub classics, as well as some more premium dishes for those special occasions.

We have 6 beautiful rooms available for you to stay in: each is named after a historic type of plough, some of which date back hundreds of years in their use. All of our rooms are en-suite and have Sky TV included.

Myself and partner stumbled across this lovely pub, we ordered drinks, and then upon seeing the menu, it looked really tasty. We could assure you the food was fabulous, 2 courses each for total £20, highly recommended.

Cracking Sunday roast. Went for three courses, whitebate 10/10, roast Pork 10/10 and a Lemon brûlée 10/10! Delicious vino and the Cruzacampo slid down a treat. Ample parking and attentive staff. All in all highly recommended. Cheers!

Couple, 56 years, Germany Someone here has thought and implemented the concept very well: from homemade fresh food to the choice of colors and furnishings of the rooms. The concept is very coherent and convincing. We felt very welcome. The entire house is very tasteful and cozy. A good price-performance ratio.

Perfect country pub very close to Winchester in a sweet English village. Wonderful staff who are very attentive, great food and lovely refurbished rooms to stay in with all the amenities needed. Would definitely return to stay over night in one of the rooms. Also a great bonus they are dog friendly!

Awesome beer garden! Clean and tidy with lovely plantings around the fence line. The menu was small but the food we had was excellent (smoked salmon pate starter). The staff were great and there is table service.
