food / drink / music / good times since 2013.

The Plough is a neighbourhood bar and kitchen on Homerton High Street in Hackney. This Grade 2 listed building in a developing part of London has been turned from a Turkish grill back in to a handsome bar with original Victorian features, serving the local community quality food and drink alongside an impeccably selected playlist of vintage rock n’ roll, soul, blues and ska music.

We offer a stylish, good quality and affordable selection of drinks. Our draught brews are all locally sourced and our fridges contain a selection of our favourite beers and cider from all over the world. Our wines come from Borough wines and our spirit selection is centred around our love of American Whiskies and Tequila. Our renowned cocktail list makes good use of infused spirits as well as classic French and Italian liqueurs.

Our menus remain short but well selected and change throughout the week and with the seasons. Hungry customers can satisfy their appetites with our signature Blue Mac & Cheese, New England Clam Chowder or one of our range of acclaimed burgers. On Saturdays the hungover are catered for with a brunch comfort menu, and on Sundays the people of Homerton assemble for a hearty roast dinner. Our ingredients are responsibly sourced from local suppliers, and we always provide tasty vegetarian options.

DJs play every Friday and Saturday night, but vinyl spins throughout the week with the bartenders selecting the records as they serve. A tiny, hands-on crew ensure that a familiar face and a warm welcome await everyone who visits.
