It’s been transformed into a vibrant, friendly pub, with a great atmosphere and is a beautiful place to stay. There are 31 hotel rooms, beautifully decorated, comprising family rooms, twin and double rooms, as well as those designed specifically for customers with disabilities. There are also five deluxe family suites which sleep four (two adults and two children). All rooms have en suite shower and bath facilities, plasma TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities and hairdryer. The pub has a large customer area, including a mezzanine floor with a large outdoor seating area for alfresco dining, and an extensive range of food and drink. Unlimited free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel and pub area also.

With undercover shopping malls, a local market weekly, winding back streets, stunning river walks, plenty of local eateries and bars, the Corn Exchange and museums, Bedford offers plenty for all visitors. Other nearby local attractions include Whipsnade, Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, Santa Pod race track, Silverstone and MK Bowl – and all of this within a 32-minute commute to central London. Luton airport can be reached on a direct train in 14 minutes.
We met up with work colleagues for a pre-christmas lunch. Everything was super quick, easy to order on the App. Very busy lunchtime but the staff were more than helpful finding us an alternative table for our party. Food well cooked, tasty and filling. Easy to get to from the bus station.
5 out of 5 for what it is . Cheap , cheerful , clean, in the middle of everything busy. Pleasantly surprised by this 65 pound little gem . Room even gave free bottled water. Albeit is on the high street so the traffic was a little noisy but thankfully died down b4 we settled down to sleep. Smooth check in and pub downstairs is a bonus . This was a busy Saturday night but managed to grab a table !
Enjoyed dinner here. Had the steak and ale pie and sausages and mash and peas. Both were tasty. We were able to order from the table on our phone and the food was brought to us. They also had food/drink combinations.
Had a two night stay recently and was pleased with the hotel. Room comfortable and had a great sleep. Ate in the bar and food was very good - apart from the 'rationed' portion of mushy peas! Staff are friendly and helpful and will definitely stay again 😊 Great shopping nearby 🛍️
Popped in for a late breakfast on Saturday morning and it was great! I ordered the vegan breakfast and actually enjoyed it unlike most other vegan fry ups I've had in the past. And the free refills on hot drinks is one of the finest things to come out of the U.K hahaha. It was pretty busy but our 5 person order came fairly quickly! The staff were super lovely too, couldn't ask for better service. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely visit again.
