The Pigs Nose Inn is a Traditional English Pub with character and the addition of being Devon's most southerly independent live music venue. Located in a village of East Prawle, not far from Kingsbridge. The pub overlooks the charming village green where you can sit down in the summer days and enjoy a Ploughman's Lunch or pub sandwiches. On occasional evenings we hold live music nights and events in our adjoining venue room with performances from Atomic Kitten, Stanton Warriors, The Correspondents, Damon Albarn, The Animals and The Boomtown Rats to name a few. Where you can dance the night away to a verity of different styles of live music.
We are proud winners of CAMRA local award with a selection of local and popular ales poured directly from casks behind the bar. Serving tantalising tasty ales from South Hams Brewery, Otter Brewery and during the holidays we have a guest ale.
The pub dates back more than 200 years, during which in its history had been a Victorian hotel and a smugglers inn used to 'store the booty' from the various shipwrecks around the coast then being changed slightly to a petrol station when cars started appearing.

What a delightful Pub ! We holidayed at the superb Leonards Cove in September 23 & January 24 , both times popping in to the Pig`s Nose at lunchtimes after walking either side of the Beautiful Gammon Head . In 2023 we had gammon , egg & chips - Wow ! top quality , perfectly cooked , nice local beers , friendly efficient Staff . In January we visited on a Monday , not realising hot food was limited on Mondays , but we enjoyed a gorgeous , savoury leek & cauliflower soup with bread & butter , with the moreish Devon Pride Ale. A proper old pub - quirky , friendly, with a very polite , efficient Person at the bar. looking forward to visiting again on future holidays.
A cracking pub, we came to East Prawle on holiday and this was one on the list. We made it along and it was just perfect. The staff we super friendly and chatty. The food was great (The steak burger and fish chips were delicious and very very filling). And the place is incredibly cosy inside. If you’re near the area, get yourself down 👍
A lovely lunch with friends, great new menu with great tasting quality local produce in a local pub bursting with character and history. Highly recommend to any one in the area or passing through.
I came to this pub years ago for a quiet pint, and this time we came for a gig. On Saturday night, the place was busy with friendly people and cute dogs 🐶 - the bar staff only took card which was fine for us. They had birra Moretti ( draught ) andthatchers Katy (bottled) 🍎 which was great - the drinks are a little bit expensive (£6+ a pint) but it is the only pub in the area so I can understand why. The band were great and the sound quality was good 👍
Fantastic old inn just on the village square. Choice of a few ales. Friendly chatty staff and locals. Marvelous ambience. Pool table, dartboard and arcade machine. Good lighting with tasteful tunes on low. Interesting gents toilets. Very highly recommended 🍻
