Good ale and really tasty food. Very friendly staff and also dog friendly. Great value.
Table spacing causes issues for customers, especially with dogs. Food very basic and when ours came, (after asking) chips were cold and my BBq chicken burger was over cooked with no Bbq sauce. Table staff were lovely.
The food was fantastic however the wait on food was an hour as there was no chef but we weren't told this until we asked where the food was. When the food did finally arrive it was fantastic quality and tasty, it was just a shame they weren't telling the customers that there could be a wait. They did give us a free round of soft drinks as an apology. The pub is dog friendly which is great and the location is perfect if your visiting the centre of Whitby.
Booked a family room but wouldn’t recommend the venue for families with children who need sleep before midnight on a Friday night. It was literally the best price for the town and, to be fair, it’s easy to see why. The decor is very weary albeit clean bedding and towels, the breakfast was acceptable except the sausage which was one of those tasteless things that I just don’t like at all. We wouldn’t choose to stay again. The good points are all the staff were lovely, friendly and really helpful
we called in for drinks while england match on. bar service quick and efficient in a packed pub . my cider one of the best i have tasted and his john smiths was good pint. reasonable prices and friendly staff. i like to treat staff with respect and say please and thank you with a friendly smile . i asked staff to change my drink after customer feeling hanging baskets dropped flowers into my glass. it was changed straight away with a smile. hanging baskets outside beautiful but right above my seat. thank you to staff for memorable good day.
