Love a Spoons, and this is one of our faves. It's set over four levels in an old cinema, so there's plenty of room but it doesn't feel big and cavernous. Staff are super friendly and on it, and everything feels clean. Never have to wait long for food, even when it's busy, and the open fire makes it feel cosy when it's cold outside. We usually go at least once a week for breakfast - the muffin and coffee deal is a bargain - and I nip in sometimes for a cheap coffee on my way to work (you can take a reusable cup and use the coffee machine for a fraction of the price of Costa).

Original review Aug '19.Situated in Colwyn Bay at the end of the shops. What a cracking spoons this is. It looks nice from outside but the inside is a gem. The inside of an old restored picture house in all its glory. Quite a few seating areas. Also you can sit right up in the gods and all along the back. Great, hot food and quick service made this a great visit. Would visit again gladly next time we are near UPDATE : Revisited Aug '23. Visited again while in town. Called in for a coffee so didn't dine. As in the first visit the interior is still the same. Quite dark inside but lovely lighting sets the scene well. A nice visit and friendly staff. The only difference from our first visit is the exterior of the building. It looks a bit rundown and needs a bit of love and attention but that is my only minus as its a spoons and you get a goid meal and drinks for a great price. It was lunchtime and it was very busy so that alone speaks for itself. A must visit while in Colwyn.

We went there for breakfast on Bank Holiday weekend so it was bit crowded. Food was good as always but the staff looked exhausted. Good place to have your breakfast if you are exploring in Snowdonia.

Absolutely beautiful building. Sadly got poured a pint with a large head in a curved glass rather than the straight glass as requested and being asked for ID at age 30! That aside... The food was fantastic! Hot plate. Perfectly cooked everything and the BEST chips from a wetherspoons ever! The bearded gentlemen serving people was very jolly and polite which is nice. Serving staff asked if happy with food. Would definitely come again and recommend. Great Wetherspoons.

Usual Spoon's. Can't go wrong. Good price. Tasty food. great staff. Gammon egg n chips was excellent. Mixed grill tasty. Prices reasonable. Very quick service. Drinks prices better than other places. Updated April 23. Still cheap beer and good staff. Menu has changed. More expensive and not as much choice. No real offers like before. Food still fine though.
