My friend and I had the Persian stew which was so tasty (its vegetarian). The waitress turned the music down a bit for us which was helpful, and was very attentive. I need to take my husband so he can also try that Persian stew!
Went for Sunday roast and ordered the beef - I can safely say I had the WORST beef in my life. It was so difficult to cut into and so chewy and extremely difficult to swallow- it was clearly not rested properly and the meat was not cut in the correct way. We barely touched the meat and asked if it was possible to have it cooked more to which the waiter said "no sorry as its already on your plate" To pay almost £100 for our family roast was disappointing. No discount on the bill was offered which seemed ridiculous as our plates were taken from the table all with full slices of untouched beef. If you're looking for a good Sunday roast... I suggest you book some place else.
Really great food, good service and good atmosphere. One of the best gastro pubs in the area.
Had a lovely meal here, maybe a little posh for my liking but was definitely a treat!! The staff were kind and attentive. The atmosphere relaxed and food delicious.
Couldn't recommend this place enough! The staff are so so helpful and lovely, and great to be greeted by the chef on arrival and through the meal. Food was sensational.... Can't wait to go back.

The Barley Mow is situated on the Basingstoke Canal in the golden triangle that is made up by connecting Hartley Wintney, Fleet and Odiham in Hampshire. We pride ourselves on our service every bit as much as we do on the quality of our food and drinks.
