Traditional pub, great local beer with a sunny outside space overlooking a quiet tree lined square, perfect for afternoon drinks.
It's a pub like many others, it has no stand out attributes, the fish and chips were "fine". The beer a bit more than I would usually pay per pint, but kept well and a good temperature. The best you can say is that it was convenient.
We ordered food, a simple fish and chips. 40 mins later no food had arrived although 3 other tables who had ordered after us had received their food. One table had nearly finished theirs. I will not return. We went to Hugos and ordered the same items and was with us with in a short time. Lovely friendly efficient service at Hugo's. Well worth a try.
Good food, lovely staff, good atmosphere and easy to find. Perfect location to sit down for a drink or to eat something simple after a day in St. Helier
The Peirson is well worth a visit. Nice, friendly staff, good choice of Real Ales and quality food available. To be fair, all of this was enhanced by the sunshine.
