Never put reviews on but I couldn’t not with this. 1 small fish & chips and a large with no drinks £30. Tables sticky and not cleaned between customers. The food came near inedible, fish was rock hard more batter than actual fish, dry chips, sent it back to be remade and came back just as poor quality. Seriously don’t waste your money here, your local fish & chips will do 10x better for 1/4 of the price. I’ve genuinely no idea how it’s advertised as “the best fish and chip shop in Bridlington”. The ladies at the bar were lovely - about the only positive thing to say.
This is a beautiful place to eat. Gorgeous views over the sea and beautiful decor. The food was ok, one of us liked it one not so much. Chips were nice like chippy chips but a bit over cooked. Salad on the garnish was dirty. Ham and cheese toastie was lovely- and kids ham sandwich really good. Ham very good quality. Coleslaw also really nice.
Only 2 of us, we waited almost 30 mins for fish and chips x 2 with 1 peas 1 curry 2x bottle Fanta £40, wouldn’t have been an issue if the food was nice but it wasn’t. Chips were hard and barely warm, fish wasn’t good either with a good number of bones remaining, we left most of it and will certainly mark the name Jerome’s as a place never to visit in the future.
Always go here when visiting mum, yesterday little mishap over the order but quickly and calmly dealt with by Katie who is the manager, she is so nice and her staff are a credit to her and the company. So friendly. Food is amazing. Look forward to going back on next visit to Bridlington. Thank you so much
We walked past this place on our first weekend in Bridlington and it was packed so we decided to give it a try midweek when it was quieter. The first table we stopped at, there was food all over the floor and the table hadn’t been cleaned so we found another. The second had bench seats and they were filthy, I’m still not sure why we didn’t walk out there and then, we really should have looking at my own picture I took of the seat as I write this review. My wife had the vegetarian panini and I had the Mexican burger. The taste of our food really was excellent, I’m not kidding it was fantastic. Afterwards we had deserts which matched the mains for taste, spot on. The staff are all young minimum wage workers who are pretty lazy. We asked for some condiments and we were pointed to where we could go and get our own. We watched the staff ignoring dirty tables and looking like they didn’t want to be there. It’s a shame as this place could and should be 5 stars if it was just down to the quality of our meals. Five stars for the food, 2 stars for cleanliness and 3 stars for the staff.
