The Six Bells is a beautiful old coaching inn right in the heart of the historic market town of Thame. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with log fires in the winter and a large patio area for the summer months. We offer a fresh, seasonal and modern menu along with pub favourites, and our daily changing blackboard specials.

Amélie, Jen and Vanessa went above and beyond to make our first time In Thame the best ever. Having not known about the area before today, it was great to get recommendations on drink, food and places to to visit after we’d finished at this venue. If anyone decides to visit Thame, this should be your first port of call.
Vanessa, Amelie and Genn were absolutely amazing we were in Thame for one night and had a great time. They worked so hard, looking after everything we needed. Exceptional exceptional exceptional
Four of us visited Six Bells for Christmas Party menu. The whole experience was excellent. The soup starter delicious, the tiramisu and Christmas pudding desserts excellent, but the main star of the show was the turkey roast which was very generously portioned, lovely turkey, plenty of gorgeous roasties and loads of well-cooked sprouts. Plenty of gravy. Compliments to the chef. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Gen, our main server who was professional, welcoming and helpful throughout the evening. Definitely recommended.
Two lovely lunches at The Six Bells this week. Stopped off on the way to a short break in Oxford and enjoyed it so much we repeated the experience on way back. The sandwiches are delicious and generous and come with gorgeous chunky chips. Plenty of choice for veggies too. Just what we’re looking for at lunchtime, all enjoyed in front of an open fire. The staff were lovely. We’ll be sure to be back.
Great place. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was awesome especially the Smoked Haddock Rarebit and the Sirloin Steak. Will definitely visit again soon. Thank you 😊
