Went for a lunch with a friend to talk business. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was better than I expected from a chain pub. Standard pie but well cooked and got throughout with nice chips and gravy. Beer selection was limited even though they had hand pulls (empty) but as only stayed for one the Tetleys was adequate. Nice looking bar and eating areas with good character, not too busy considering it was the last weekday before Christmas. Nice venue on the near side of Hartlepool Marina, though that would be more important in summer as you could sit outside and admire the lovely views. Overall, very pleased with my visit and I would be more than happy to go again for a lunch or a pint.

Went for Breakfast while staying at the hotel next door, great value with kids as they eat free with a full paying adult, try and find four all you can eat breakfasts with Drinks for £5 a head anywhere else. Staff were friendly and attentive, location is lovely with views of the marina from most tables. Food is great and plentiful. Can get busy especially at weekends.

My sister and I had our evening meal here. The Haddock and chips were excellent. My sister had the chicken pie. She said the pastry was lovely and crisp without being hard. I had the jam roly poly for afters only fault with it was the lack of jam. Hardly any in it, such a shame as apart from that it was excellent too.

Popped in for evening dinner. Ordered mixed grill (medium rare) and a double bacon cheese burger. Food wasn't very nice, the steak was rare and the staff seemed to want us to leave (perhaps we arrived on the later side of serving food). Value for money wasn't very good, meals with a pint of guiness and Pepsi max came to £43 - which is poor considering the standard of service and low quality food / ingredients. The only positive was the stunning view of the marina.

Went for food and drinks on a Friday night. Unfortunately they were only accepting cash because of an issue with their server but I found a cash point and got to ordering. The food came out quickly, it was piping hot and delicious. We sampled a few cocktails and they were also lovely. The service we received was fantastic, especially from Jacob behind the bar who was very friendly and had great rapport with all the customers. We will definitely be returning!
