The Old Spot Inn – nestled at the foot of Stinchcombe Hill, in the Gloucestershire town of Dursley, you can find this award winning "gem" of a traditional hostelry. Situated on the Cotswold Way and surrounded by the glorious Cotswold countryside: the original building dates from 1776 and has low ceilings and comfortable connecting bar-rooms which are adorned with interesting "breweriana" from times gone by.
There can be no better atmosphere in which to enjoy a pint or two of the many cask ales always available and the humming of convivial conversation!

Visited today Thurs 18/01/2024 and my companion and I enjoyed delicious lunches. Starters of potato & leek soup and croquettes, mains of blade of beef and Tuscan chicken + 2 pints Uley Brewery's Pigor Mortis dark ale and 2 glasses of white Pinot Grigio, all for £61.75. It was completely frozen outside and a good warming lunch in a warm welcoming pub was wonderful! They don't add a service charge to the bill but we left a cash tip because the manager and server were excellent at their jobs and friendly and helpful. The Old Spot only serves food at lunchtime and not in the evening. Update: Popped in for a light lunch Sat 09/12/2023 and, to our relief, the food's improved again. My husband enjoyed sticky chicken wings with salad garnish and fries and I had a mug of potato and leek soup, which was delicious, and a half sandwich of cheese and pickle. Afew people eating there. Good atmosphere in the main bar with regulars enjoying a pint. UPDATE 04/2022: Sadly my review below no longer stands. The excellent chef/cook has obviously moved on and the food has returned to not only what it was before but has deteriorated. It was also quite empty so it's losing custom. The Old Spot has really upped its game with its food. It remains a nice pub with a good bar and staff but the kitchen is definitely offering a more discerning menu.
Folk music night Wednesdays are glorious. Great atmosphere, great team, great range on tap.
Great food Beer tapas which good. All different beers 🍻 Had the ploughman's plate which was amazing.
Behind the bus station and near a car park. A small drinking man's pub now a popular establishment. Noticed a good choice of gins served in a nice Copa glasses. Good outdoor space. Bar is made up of several small nooks with tables for eating.
Lovely pub, full of character and large choice of drinks and beers. Lovely atmosphere inside the pub and big garden with a lot of seating nicely laid out and heated outside. We only had a drink on this occasion but could see a very popular by booking only pub restaurant. Very friendly landlord and staff. Worth a visit.
