We are a small traditional pub located close to the heart of Altrincham.
The Roebuck public house has sat on the same site since around 1836. We serve a wide range of real ales, beers, ciders, carefully selected wines and great food with an emphasis on high quality local suppliers.
We are proud to be serving exceptional food and real ale every day of the week.
Our food offer is simple, the best quality ingredients with the added touch of home cooking/baking to produce simple but delicious food.
Join us on Sunday’s and enjoy one of our renowned Roebuck classic roasts.
Our back room is available to hire for your private functions. So if you have a birthday, christening or simply a long-overdue get together with friends then give us a call to discuss your plans.
We also offer a large outside decking area which is partly covered for those warmer days with or without sun.

Great intimate traditional pub on the outskirts of Altrincham town centre. Great food and facilities. Have a darts team and poker nights on Mon / Thurs
Fantastic pub. We came to work in the area for 2 weeks and The Roebuck became our local. Great food, service and a great beer garden. And a special shout out to Mike who looked after us like we were old friends. Highly recommended 😁
Great local pub with a good range of drinks. A lovely welcome from Mike & Eve, we popped in a few times and had some great nights during our stay at the hotel up the road. The seating area out the back is lovely and all the plants are very nice.
I just called in on the off chance that they were still doing food and I am glad I did. I was greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel like a regular. I ordered a large gammon and egg. Wow. What a portion it was. I have got to confess that I didn't finish everything. The gammon was nicely cooked on a grill and not salty at all. The beer was good and all for a good price. I will definitely be returning if I am staying in the area. It was nice to have a proper home cooked meal, not a ping.

One of Altrincham's oldest pubs dating back to the Victorian era. The pub's name refers to the time when it was the brewery tap for long gone Richardson's Brewery.
