Terrible experience! Came along tonight thinking that we would get a pleasant and quick meal but we were wrong. Arrived about 6.10pm where no one was there to greet us or take us to a table. So we waited for about 5mins then decided to look for a table ourselves. They were staff present but none of them acknowledged us so we went ahead until we were grudgingly sat seconds later asif the waitress was annoyed with us. We sat for about 15mins waiting for our server to take our drinks/ meal order as the app didn't seem to offer us what we wanted. We waited for about 25mins for our starters, which certainly weren't worth the wait. The portion sizes for what you give and for the price you charge is absolutely disgraceful. £5.99 for 4 wings and £5.00 for 3 cheese melts. So after finishing our starters it was about 40mins till we finally decided to ask our server Ross where our food was and how long it would be? We were told that it was the next ticket, but when we arrived the place was empty. We actually thought the place was closing, so I can't and don't understand why the food was taking so long? When the food arrived my wee girl was already wanting her last bottle and bed as she waited that long for her fish fingers. Our own meals weren't much better, my fish was greasy chips were cold and my mates burger was like a Rustler burger, cheap and not the best looking. We weren't asked at any point if everything was OK or how our meal was? Extremely poor customer service, terrible food, ridiculous portions sizes and just a really disappointing experience. £80.01 on the worst meal and dining experience I've ever had. Definitely will not be coming back. Terrible
Poor show by management today. 4pm no action taken to control inebriated customers who were very very vocal. And this despite one being in charge of child ( parent shouting loudly in attempt to control child). So , like other customers, we finished our drinks and left earlier than planned. Must do better.
Enjoyed the food here at this conveniently located chain pub. Quite a good menu with actual choices for vegetarians. Service was a bit patchy and one main meal was brought much later than rest. Seemed good value, child friendly and dog friendly. Was not busy when we went. Would go again.
Came here for the first time in a while. One of our group has a gluten intolerance and had never been to the OPT before. They were thrilled that there was such a large gluten free menu. She has never been able to have a complete burger before. Matt and his team were attentive. Food arrived quickly and very hot. In particular, the Hunter's Chicken was delicious. More than happy to recommend to anyone - especially if you have a gluten intolerance. You will most certainly not be disappointed.
Outstanding service We had a business lunch and we turned up with no prior booking however the team accommodated us and showed us to our seats and there was 12 of us We waited 15mins for food with no mistakes and the food & prep was 2nd to none This place is defo one of my favourites
