Both the hotel rooms and the restaurant are excellent. I travel a lot for work, and I suspect I've stayed in 90% of hotels in the area. This one was by far the best. Usually there's something off in other hotels, usually in relation to cleanliness or safety. Absolutely none of that here. The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh, the room was spacious, the shower was warm and had great pressure. The room was simply decorated and very clean. The food in the restaurant section was great, the staff were friendly. Like most of Cumbria, it's not particularly accessible by train, but it's worth the car drive.
Went for dinner all food was very good, particulary my fillet steak cooked how I like it. Nice chips too. Only downside for me is that I am not keen on new world red wine, a selection of european would be nice. That said, we will definately be back.
Easy to get too, and ample parking. Room was well equipped, with everything you need. Clean and modern. Service was exceptional from checkin to breakfast to check out. Would highly recommend
Had a 3 day golf trip based from this hotel. Rooms very well presented and kept well. 23 of us stayed here and we all had a great time. Food good and not to dear. Bar staff and all the staff very friendly and approachable. Thanks for a great break here..👍👍
We went here to celebrate my daughters birthday as a family. The food was delicious, I had the goat cheese starter & fish main & the portions were plentiful, the price was a nice surprise too, I paid for 3 meals all had 2 courses & it was just over £70. I'd definitely visit again.
