A real hidden gem this 1930’s pub has a popular well-kept bowling green and attractive gardens and patio. Their function room is available to book for events and parties all year round. Televised sport and regular entertainment are always well received by regulars at the Nursery Inn.

I rang and booked a table for 5 o’clock Friday, when we got there somebody had already sat at our table which was no problem, we ordered drinks went to Oder food the poor lad with the black T-shirt on was running around like a headless chicken he was going his best bless him as he was serving 2 bars, along came someone in a blue shirt with slicked back hair my husband was ordering our food fish and chips the lad said we got none so he ordered steak and kidney pie we got none so my husband said what have you got on the menu the lad turned round and said well what do you want and shrugged his shoulders I think that was a nice attitude at all so we drank our drinks and left and I said his attitude sinks
I’m sorry to say but this was the worst Christmas meal I have had the misfortune to eat it wasn’t worth the money and I would not recommend it. The menu sounded delicious but what we were served was not what I expected, we were assured that there would be a GF option but this was not available so I wasn’t able to have a starter and the Christmas dinner that was given to me I sent back as it had turkey, mash, spouts, carrots gravy that looked and tasted rubbish no pigs in blankets no parsnip no roast potatoes. !! Very disappointing for my family the whole experience was a nightmare and a waste of money.
We had seen lots of positive reviews on this place and it didn’t disappoint, really friendly helpful staff and the food was really good value for money!
A nice, somewhat recondite place off the beaten track… but not really . Nice beer garden, and good service The food however I’m going to give its own review — 2/5 stars 🌟
Visited today with my hubby for lunch. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. I've probably got their names wrong as I've got goldfish memory 🙈 (maybe Dipan and Tallulah)? Anyway, the food was gorgeous, menu seems good value for money and we will definitely return 👌
