The quality of food is amazing, and great value for money - had 3 courses for £10 (January deal I think), agar carvery was lovely!
What a wonderful place. First time we have been and it was heaving on a Thursday lunchtime. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining the menu and the procedure for payment etc. 3 course for £10. We had Gravlax, stilton mushrooms, venison crumble, and soup for our starters, 2 of us had the carvery which was amazing 3 choices of meat. 1 had steak and the other had a beef sizzler. Desserts were a choice of farm ice creams with several different gateau's to choose from. All beautifully cooked. Its only open 12 until 3 so you have to book, we will definitely be going again
Had carvery lunch yesterday with my wife and sister in law. First visit for my sister in law she absolutely love it! As me and my wife do Food loverly, Staff very friendly and accommodating. Thanks guys. See you soon.
It was quite expensive for drinks, and I was a bit surprised. Otherwise good décor and place suites for a family/ friends occasion dinning. Nice tables outside.
A lovely homely pub that we'll revisit again, especially in the winter when the fire is on. The meal was great value and very nice also. £36 for 3 3 course meals..superb. Really enjoyed my desert. No wonder the place was busy, but it didn't impact the experience. The service was friendly and good.
