Bar itself isn't bad, decent enough music, decor is good. Service was good however don't order a drink when they call last orders! We stupidly bought one last round when the last orders bell was rang, within 30 seconds of sitting back down we had 3 door staff come to tell us we had 5 mins to drink up.. we pointed out we'd literally just been served to which they rudely replied well we're closing. It wasn't just ourselves that fell foul of this several others got the same treatment. If you're going to sell a drink give people enough time to drink it before constantly trying to push them out the door! Disappointed with how they treat customers
Only marked 3 stars for food cos I think it's only bar snacks. But the upstairs terrace is the place to be, on cool nights the heat lights keep it nice. If you like boxing on TV this is THE place to go. 4 screens and sound!! Fantastic crowd and able to watch with appreciative crowd. Watching the boxing, the most appreciative bunch, a safe place for all, strict check 25, checks in place , a mixed bunch of ages, not only students as in most places around here, young, middle aged and old all enjoy this place. The bar staff are attentative and will accommodate all your requirements (within reason) they are polite and you don't have to wait for service, I am running out of praise for this establishment, try it for yourself. A good night was had by all in attendance, there is something going on most days. Monday is karaoke and pop quiz with hotdogs in afternoon. Monday night is pool night for the team, Tuesday is poker night, Wednesday is poker night, Thursday is karaoke night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are good night's out and ALL sport is shown, if there is a clash of events screens are split. If you heard of a cocktail it's available. There is no need to go outside for a smoke, there is a rooftop area for you to smoke, if you only vape then you can do so inside away from the bar. Monday karaoke gets better every week, gotta be on your Christmas to do list. Come and show your talent, even if you ain't the new elvis/Tom jones/Shakira it will be appreciated by the crowd. Entertainment at its best. KJ Oz and his lovely assistant play the tunes and you provide the voice. They also do karaoke in bears paw. Don't miss them.
First time I’ve been in here for somewhere different, never again!!!! My friend queried the sugar free mixers as she is Type 1 diabetic!!! The bar person short, shoulder length brown hair, laughed and replied ‘water’ … I couldn’t believe it! I am sure she thought we were laughing with her, we really weren’t!!! Sarcasm isn’t her strong point!! This place has the same atmosphere as a wet fish!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Such a brilliant pub. Lots of great beers on offer, the music is brilliant, the decor and quality of the interior are excellent and the staff of friendly and approachable. Possibly the best pub I've been to in the North West recently. Loved this pub and I'll definitely be back, during our stay in Preston.
Great place to watch local talent at their open mike event each Tuesday. Cool location with lots of eye-catching interiors. The locals are friendly, the bar staff are very accommodating and the drinks are inexpensive. Their shining glory is the roof terrace which is really lovely to sit in and chat with friends.
