A local garden centre recommended the pub/restaurant and we were lucky to get a table without a reservation - it soon filled up. We only had time for a main course and we both had the steak & venison pie. It was a good choice - 99% meat & gravy with delicious pastry. We will come back if we are in the area.

What a wonderful pub! It’s wonderfully cozy, the staff were so incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious! I ordered the vegan burger (subbed vegan for regular cheese)- and I have to say this was quite possible the best vegetarian burger I’ve had in England! Absolutely delicious!!
Nice village pub with good food. The schnitzels were good, but they included cheese filling which made them a bit greasy to my tastes.
Came here for lunch when we were visiting family in the area. The staff were very nice and overall the service was fine. It did take a long time for the entrees to come out, but the food was delicious, especially the steak and venison pie. Menu is small and I wish they had less fried items on it. There is a very nice view of the village green and the place was quite busy for a Thursday lunchtime.
